Origins

Handmade in Montréal, Canada

Canadian earthenware

Ingredients for engobe (liquid colored clay) decoration and glazes were sourced from Canadian and US manufacturers
Process

Thrown on the potter's wheel

After drying, the piece was put back on the wheel for trimming. The handle handbuilt and attached to the cup

It was dried again and bisque fired in the electric kiln

The cup was decorated with engobe and carved with a unique drawing (no two items are alike)

It was then dipped in a clear glossy glaze before being fired a second time at one of the highest temperatures possible for earthenware at 1,060⁰C (1,940⁰F) for added strength
