Where we ship from

All orders ship from Montréal, Québec, Canada.

We currently ship to:

  • Canada

  • The United States

  • a selection of international destinations shown at checkout

Order processing times

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

During launches, restocks, or busy periods, processing may take a little longer. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order has shipped.

Shipping methods & rates

We use Shopify's shipping services and trusted carriers to provide reliable delivery options.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and the size and weight of your order:

  • Canada: Rates displayed in CAD (Canadian dollars)
  • United States: Rates displayed in USD (US dollars) 
  • International: Rates displayed in USD (US dollars) 

All available shipping methods and costs will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Estimated delivery times

Delivery times vary depending on your location and the shipping method chosen at checkout. As a general guide:

  • Within Canada – Standard shipping: approximately 5–7 business days

  • Within Canada – Express shipping: approximately 2–3 business days

  • To the United States – Standard shipping: approximately 7–10 business days

  • To the United States – Express shipping: approximately 3–5 business days

  • International shipping: approximately 10–21 business days, depending on destination

These timeframes are estimates provided by carriers and may vary during peak seasons, customs processing, or due to unforeseen delays.

International shipping

We ship to the United States and to a selection of international destinations. Availability, shipping costs, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout based on your address.

Customs, duties & taxes

For orders shipped outside Canada (including to the United States), customers are responsible for any:

  • customs duties

  • import taxes

  • brokerage or handling fees

These charges are set by your local customs authorities and are not included in our prices or shipping fees. If you are unsure of the possible charges, we recommend checking with your local customs office before placing an order.

Packaging & breakage prevention

Ceramics are fragile, so we take packaging seriously.

Each order is:

  • wrapped and cushioned by hand

  • packed in sturdy, appropriately sized boxes

  • tested during our packaging trials by drop-testing sample parcels from approximately 13 feet (~4 metres), multiple times, to help ensure that pieces arrive safely

If an item arrives damaged despite these precautions,  contact us as soon as possible at info@houmain.com so we can help.

Lost or delayed packages

If your tracking information hasn’t updated in several days or your parcel appears to be lost, please contact us at info@houmain.com with your order number. We’ll follow up with the carrier and do our best to resolve the situation.

Incorrect or incomplete addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we can reship it, but additional shipping fees may apply. Shipping fees are non-refundable once a package has been shipped.
