Large Tumbler

Description

This tumbler contains standard 16oz beers, water and all your favourite drinks. It keeps beer cool in the summer thanks to stoneware's insulating properties.

The smooth inside of the tumbler opposes the natural feel of the bare ceramic exterior. Thrown on the potter's wheel by Léa and Nicolas in their Eastern Townships studio in Quebec. Made from red stoneware from North American Prairies.

The piece was then trimmed of excess clay and the exterior was polished, to give it its refined form

After the first firing in the electric kiln, the piece was glazed inside. The exterior was left in its natural state
