This container keeps your garlic in a dark, ventilated space, maintaining freshness and preventing sprouting or mould growth. Catherine crafted this piece on the potter's wheel using porcelain. As jellyfish drift in and out of the pot, Catherine invites us to the ocean, immersing us in the magical world of aquatic life.

Process

Each container and lid are thrown separately by Catherine on the potter's wheel

Once dry, she puts them back on the wheel for trimming. It’s also at this stage that she paints the container and lid with pigmented engobe (colored clay)

Catherine fires her pieces three times in an electric kiln over several days: a bisque firing, a glaze firing at ˜1,232⁰C (2,250°F), and a final firing for the handmade decals
